Refugee Support

At Puntland Society, we understand the challenges that newcomers face when they arrive in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are dedicated to providing a range of services to help refugees and immigrants make a strong start in their new community. Our staff and volunteers are committed to offering cultural orientation, education, system navigation, group support, and case management to ensure that newcomers have the necessary resources and support to successfully integrate into their new lives. We believe in empowering individuals and families to thrive in their new environment and are here to assist them every step of the way. Together, we can build a more inclusive and welcoming Minneapolis for all.

Advocacy & Civic Engagement

Through our advocacy and civic engagement programs, we are committed to empowering individuals and communities by providing support in various areas. Our programs focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, internship and mentorship opportunities, citizenship education, and civic participation. We believe that by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need, we can foster economic empowerment, encourage entrepreneurship, and promote active citizenship. Resettlement Services

We assist new arrivals with documentation paperwork and in navigating the American system, assistance with healthcare access, legal protection, education, training for income generation skills, and other resettlement services.
